Has anyone used an overhead sectional door with glass panels that can be shown in open and closed position? I would like to show this in a 3d view.

I’m not sure I fully understand what you want to achieve, but you can simply model the family with two panels positions and add a visibility parameter

I would like to be able to shown the door closed in one view and opened in another view. This view I added an extrusion to show what I am looking for. I tried adding a paramter but I did not know the tricks of how to do it.

In the family you need to model both the door in the open and closed positions.

If you then add 2 new subcategories in object styles within the family and put the doors on the differing subcategories, you will then be able to control the visibility within the view by turning on only the subcategory you want to see.
