Revit families exported from inventor

Hello, I have the following situation: I export an aluminium pressing from inventor as a revit generic family; in revit, I assign a material(with a cut pattern) to this object; when I make a section through this pressing, the cut pattern doesn't work (only the contour line of the object is visible). If I use this material for a revit object (beam, column, wall, anything), the cut pattern works. Can anyone advise how can i make the cut pattern to work on element impirted from inventor? Kind regards Petru

Change the family category of the imported object to a cuttable family category.

You can find what Fam. Categories are cuttable in the following link.

Cut patterns in Revit are DRAFTING patterns - They are view scale dependent. Maybe your view scale is too small? So you don't see it? See attached for a 3D cut of the exact same element & same view at 2 different scales. Otherwise, can you post a screenshot so we can troubleshoot more?
