Revit browser organisation

I created a custom view browser arranged the way I want to but I'm having issues where new drawing views, sections etc pop up in the "??? category" so I am having to re-organise those new views and pop them into the correct category. Is there a way to set the new views to automatically pop into the right category?

I do this with view templates. A lot of my views are very similar, so the view templates are primarily for browser organization.

is there a way to have it by default once you open up or start a new project with a created template? I'm assuming you're applying the template whenever a new view is created

You can have multiple view types and assign a view template to the type so that any new views created will have the view template automatically applied. I don't use that feature as it has caused performance issues in the past for me. It might be worth revisiting though. If you try it out, post back with your results.

I think i may have misunderstood you the first time but my issue is the browser organisation. the applying template is fine for the views, but my issue is that new views are popping into  tis "???" category because the views browser has been re-arranged for a new revit template. I'm looking to fix this where the views automatically pop up under the right categories instead of having to shift views to the right place

You are confusing me. The only way that I know of is by utilizing view templates or manually. There is no automatic solution as I understand your questions.

The templates i am referring to is a revit project template not the views/ applying views template. I've created a new project template and i want to re-structure the project browser list. The issue I am having is that when a new view is created e.g a project level, the view pops into the question mark category shown in the image, instead of the correct browser folder. Wanted to know if there was an automatic solution to this instead of having to drag new views into the correct place

Is there automatic solution to this? the view templates option is fine but I am still having to re-group views into the correct folder with this approach as well
