Revit backward compatibility

Is it possible to back save a 2018 Revit file to a 2017 version?

I see that you are a new visitor. Welcome to the Autodesk community! 

Revit does not have an option to save to a prior version native RVT file. Please see Backwards compatibility of Revit with earlier releases of the software

You'll have to export an IFC from Revit 2018 and open the IFC in Revit 2017.

This means that you'll unfortunately loose the integrity of your original model,

especially since Revit doesn't play well with IFC files.

Alternatively you could switch over to Archicad and avoid this headache altogether.
