Revit and Dropbox

Hi All,

I am looking to move all of my Revit files to Dropbox. I have been using Revit on a LAN Server for a number of years and we do not use worksharing

I know there are issues with worksharing and Revit but other than that is Dropbox a stable solution for Revit file storage?

For file storage it should be fine. However working from dropbox directly might have issues. I think it will work similar to Onedrive (which I have worked with in the past). If you work alone it probably will work. If you have multiple people changing the same Revit file you might run into issues due to file syncing.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

It isn't recommended to use Dropbox for Revit worksharing file. You can use it to host custom families and templates. Have you look into remote desktop or projectwise?
