Revit 2025 crashes right after clicking on "Open" in the Start screen of the software.

Revit 2025 is crashing when I try to open a file via the "Open" option in the starting screen. I can open files directly from their folders, though. But when I try to save it, it also crashes. I will link the journal txt file that the software generated. Maybe someone can help with this.

It's happening only in the 2025 version. I installed the 2023 version, for instance, and it's working fine.

Your journal notes the following exception and closes: ExceptionCode=0xe0434352

Thank you for the help! I'm currently trying some of the suggestions. Nothing fixed the problem yet, but i'll keep trying. I will report back soon.

I've tried just about everything in the list and the 2025 version is still not working. I guess I'll have to wait for a new Windows or Nvidia update. Thank you very much, anyways.

Edit: I searched a lit bit more on the subject, and found a solution, or at least "sort of". I uninstalled "Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express LocalDB" and now it's working fine. I don't know if it'll affect other softwares, time will tell.

I am having the same issue where my Revit 2025 won't open at all and it crashes I think due to the Revit 2025.4 update? Atleast thats what is says when sending a report.

Hi, tray to install .NET 8.0 SDK (v8.0.413) - Windows x64 Installer, with this, Revit and AutoCAD 2025 and 2026 are already working.

I AM HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEM WHERE IF I GO (FILE->OPEN->PROJECT) R25 IMEDIATELY FREEZES. I FIRST NOTICED THE ISSUE THIS MORNING WHEN I HAD FILE OPEN AND CLICKED (IMPORT->IMAGE) AND IMMEDIATELY FROZE SO I WAITED A WHILE AND EVENTUALY ENDED TASK.

IT LET ME OPEN A CLOUD MODEL FROM THE REVIT HOME PAGE.  IS IT AN ISSUE CONNECTING TO OUR SERVER?  ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
