Revit 2021 Detail View View Range Question

To whom it may concern,

I am helping one of our technicians identify the reason why a detail callout view does not show the SHS that is shown in the associated floor plan view.

First of all, I dissociated the detail callout view from the floor plan view so that I could adjust the detail view marker view range.

The SHS is about 2840 tall and the marker is already sitting way below than the top of the SHS. Therefore, there should not be any detail view view range issues regardless of whether or not I adjust the detail view marker. After a few rounds of experiment, I noticed that I would have to set the detail view marker anywhere below 1200 AFFL to cut the SHS which really did not make sense to anyone.

I hope I can get an explanation.

Many thanks!

Edit the SHS family and untick Precut... box.
