Revit 2020 IFC-Export Crash

Hello,

i have a problem with the Revit IFC-Export...

My problem is that as soon as i click on IFC-Export, the programm loads for a few seconds (not freezing, simple loading symbol) and then the application closes without an error message or anything else. The export option Window doesnt even appear.

I have searched all the troubleshooting posts regarding Export problems in the Forum and tried these solutions.

Reinstalled Revit, deleted all Plug Ins, Installed the newest IFC Export App and so on.

Sadly none of them worked.

The export doesnt work for a project with one simple Wall either.

Specs:

Revit 2020
Windows 10

I´m very gratefull for your advise.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards

Hi, I've came over here earlier looking for some solution, but occured me that I could create a Dynamo routine for Export IFC. Then it worked! I'm leaving a image with the routine so you can try it too. Good luck and hope I've helped!Dynamo Export IFC.png

Thank you for sharing your solution.

Sadly I'm not into Dynamo.

But I'm glad that you found a work around for you.

Kind regards

Me and my colleagues are having exactly the same problem. No matter what version of Revit (2021, 2022) the program hangs a while and then disappears. No warning, no error logs. A few days ago there were no problems with it. This is a serious issue because we have to export IFCs every week. Cannot understand the Dynamo solution
