Revit 2020 Export to DWG issue

I run Revit 2020.2 I have huge issues exporting to DWG. I get an error message that says the File is already open.

(See Attachment). I am sure I have all the settings right as it did work on older versions. I  am positive that nothing but Revit is running or open. I have tried r-booting but no luck there. I have researched the other posts re the same problem but no one appears to have an answer.

If anyone can help, please as I desperately need to solve this issue.

Never had this issue myself and I export to CAD a lot.  Have you tried Exporting to maybe your Desktop/with a different Name?

is this on a Home PC or an Office PC?

my office locks down our PC's pretty tight. Your office may have the C:\ blocked from creating files in if your not an admin.

Thank you hmunsell & Barth. This is my home PC so no admin issues & yes I have tried exporting to different locations. The only option re the file name is the long or short options. I have had success in the past using the short option but that is not working this time. I am totally lost with this & it seems from the many other posts there is no obvious fix.

it is only happening with one particular model or does it happen with any Revit model you want to export to DWG from?

Thanks H. It is happening with all models. It is obviously a problem with my PC as I run Revit on my new laptop & the same file converts to DWG without any issues. I don't have A'Cad on the laptop but that shouldn't make any difference to the conversion.

... I don´t even try to open! Since every DWG I export from Revit 2020.2 results in a 3KB autocad file I just know its for nothing 😞

I heard many people have these problem. This is an older post and some Revit view just stop publishing. I was wonder if Autodesk ever address these issue.
