Has Autodesk removed the suite workflow between Revit and 3ds max in Revit 2019? Or have I not installed the feature?
The option no longer appears in the Revit menu as it used to in revit 2017 / 18.
I have Revit 2019 & 3ds max 2019 installed.
See screenshot.

Suite Workflows were removed. It is documented here:
http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2019/ENU/?guid=GUID-C81929D7-02CB-4BF7-A637-9B98EC9EB38B
The following features and workflows are not available.
Thanks for clarifying. Any particular reason you know of that the suite workflow feature was removed? This was pretty useful and skipped several commands.
I am not sure of all of the reasons this was removed. I will share your post with Product Managers and perhaps get some additional information.

This was an imperative feature. What is the same functionality replaced with?
The functionality and interoperability still exists between Revit and 3ds Max, it is just a manual operation rather than a single command.
The suites themselves were discontinued for new purchases, replaced by the collections. That is our best guess as to why the suite workflows were removed as well.

Hi @Anonymous
Let me check back with the dedicated resource as to why this was removed in Revit 2019.
Do you have a specific workflow in mind?
Are you looking to export a Revit model to 3dsMax?
Have you tried an FBX Exporter workflow?

This makes sense. As the products are individualized now there is no connection in between them. Explains why I had to activate Revit 2019, then Autocad 2019, and 3D Max 2019 separately vs just once and all of them activate. I'm using Building Design Suite Premium too btw, the functionality is removed from there too.
Does the "FBX Exporter workflow" still maintain the linked relationship between Revit and Max? (I know it was always based on an FBX file, but the workflow had some subtle magic that really simplified the process of re-exporting, and having the Max file update.) Also, the Suite Workflow was way better at maintaining geometry-face material assignments. I have not yet upgraded to 2019, my associate did. I work mostly in V-Ray in Max, from associates' Revit files. I then take it into Unreal Studio via DataSmith. Right now with 2018 its an amazing workflow.
Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for sharing your workflow.

Linking the Revit file inside 3dsmax might retain the UVW mapping. See attached image below:
Can you share a screencast of the suite workflow's functionality in Revit 2018 that you prefer? I can pass this along to the dedicated team and we can try the same in Revit 2019 by linking in the Revit file and see if that retain the material assignments.
I waiting for further feedback on this one.

Hi,
I could still use the Link Revit /FBX feature within MAX, its was simply a time and click-saver to use the suite workflow.
weird thing is this still shows up in the Autocad 2019 based products but was taken out of Inventor 2019 & Revit 2019
