REVIT 2019 LT: IFC Export - IFCSpaces are missing

Dear community,

Currently I try to work with the IFC export function in Autodesk Revit 2019 LT. For my tests I created a simple building with 2 floors and defined some spaces/rooms, like in the following screenshot. But in the export, no ifcspaces are defined. I use the standard settings and mapping of Revit and tried the IFC version 2x3 Basic handover to FM and IFC 4 Design transfer view. In both are the spaces missing.

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks and regards

Tobias

Thank you for your posting @Anonymous.

From what I have tested with your settings (IFC2x3 Basic FM Handover View), I am able to export IFCSpace. Can you share your sample model?

Thank you for uploading your model @Anonymous.

Try the export setting "IFC2x3 Basic FM Handover View 1", and check if that works.

Hi @yurikim,

thank you! Actually my spaces are available in the IFC export now. But please tell me, what do you changed? 🙂 Unfortunately now the whole floor with the roof is missing in the export 😞

Hi again,

Now I found the setting which is responsible for the spaces. It is the "Phase". My roof was getting lost by another setting, which I could fix. Could you please tell me something about this "Phase"? In the drop down menu I only have 3 non self declaring options, like:

  • Specification for the phase to be exported
  • Phase 1
  • Phase 2

Hi Tobias,

What changes you made to setting? I am also facing same issue.

Hi,

spaces are related to a construction phase. In the IFC export settings, you can define if and which phase shall be considered during export. Choose your phase. I didn't define anything about phases at all, it worked for me just by choosing phase 1 in the export settings.

I hope this helps...

Best regards

Tobias

Thanks Tobias. Able to resolve the problem I was facing. Just need to make sure I am selecting right phase.
