Revit 2019 - Every possible tool is greyed out!!

ALL of the options to select at the bottom of the screen are greyed out in addition yo EVERYThING else!

I am able to zoom in and out of the drawing, open other sheets.  All give me the same response - greyed out

This happened after editing a cloud on a detail, after I selected the green tick to complete the editing (resizing) of the cloud, the cloud disappeared. This have been due to it being past the exceeding the Annotation Crop range?!

Anyways, the Model did not go into Not responding mode, instead it appears to be still active, however, all the toolbars are greyed out!

I can still open other drawings , but can't select any of the objects on the screen.

Almost seems like it has a command that is running somewhere, waiting to be finished.

Hoping I don;t have to shut this session down and lose work!

Basically everything is GREYED and does not respond. I tried typing VG.. nothing happened.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

What was the dialog box? Was it asking if you wanted to exit edit mode?

This just happened to me. The last save was 30 mins ago. I was starting to get worried. Thanks for figuring the problem out in the past.
