Revit 2018 Wont open files and can't close File dialog

Hi there. Ive just decided to start using 2018 and the first thing I did was try and open a file using the Open command. This brings up the dialog box but I can't select a file and open it as the PC Bleeps at me. If I try hitting the cancel button it bleeps again. I can't even hit the X as it's beeping well bleeping again. Only way out is to use task manage the end the Revit process.

Has anyone else had this issue. I can open the sample files etc from the main startup window, and create a file from templates, but the minute I browse to a file to open it, it hangs.

Looking forward to hearing if anyone has a fix for this.

Here's the workaround for Revit 2018:

UltraMon Options > Compatablity > Configure Settings ... > Browse (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2018\Revit.exe) > Next > check the 1st box > OK

Then launch R2018 again, the Open dialog shall work well.
