Lighting fixture schedule

Hi All,

My Lighting fixture schedule does not show description, type mark and wattage comment separately. It only spits out the total number of light fixtures in the count field. It shows all the information if I have only one light fixture. No idea how to resolve it.

Thanks.

Look at the Sorting/Grouping tab and make sure you pick the correct fields. Temporary uncheck Itemized every instance to see tye complete schedule to determine the fields you need to group.

Hi I have got that sorted but do you have any idea why a room name is not coming up when I am creating the schedule though it is there as I am doing the advanced sample project from revit.

Thanks.

If you uncheck Itemized, do you see the Room Names appear?  Are the Rooms created in your model or from the link model?

Hello Toan,

If I check the itemized tab then it gives me the whole list but the room name for the 1st area which is cafeteria does not appear in any of the instances. The room was created in the model it self.

Could there be any reason for the room name not appearing in the schedule though I have the room and the tag.

You have fixture type A1 in more than a single location, so when all A1 fixtures are grouped into a single line item, that line cannot display the Level and the Room info.

It works when you itemize, except for the Cafeteria. So the fixtures you have there don't recognize themselves as being in that room. I'm guessing they are mounted higher than the top of the room element's extents.

It would be most common to sort first by fixture type mark, and THEN by level and room if you also want that info. But of course, you don't have to do what's most common. But instead of the suppliers/installers seeing "I'm in this room, so what fixtures do I need," they want to see, "I've got all these A1 fixtures, now where do they go...?"
