Revit 2018. The view range doesn't work, window frame cannot see in plan view with plan region setting. No issue with family view setting already checks. Changing plan region view setting values still cannot see window frame. Any help appreciated. Thank you

Hi

make sure the window is within the plan region..

if little bit portion of the window is out of the region, then it won't show up.

capture entire window..capture entire window..

make the Plan View Region bigger. It's border cannot touch the element.

You sure that's the right level? It's different from the first screenshot.

...I'm speaking of the View Range's Associated Level.

Edit the family, select the window linework or geometry for plan presentation, edit visibility graphic overrides and UNTICK show when cut on plan.

I'm not sure if this makes sense, I just adjust the sill height to standard 1meter then once loaded, then change the sill height to appropriate level and works, but has still issue cannot see the window frame partition, its either sweep or extrusion still cannot see the frame. Something wrong somewhere I cannot figure it out. strange? Thanks

I doubt the geometry is visible in Plan View. What you are likely seeing in Project Plan View is Detail line Work from

the Family.

...go into the family and check this box for the geometry you want to see in Project Plan View

FWIW...There is another Magic Trick you can do -- and you don't even need a Plan Region for this one.  Want to know about it?  Do this:  Go to an Elevation View in the Family and draw a Model Line downward from the bottom of the Window Sill. Let's say make the Model Line 6 feet long.  Now, reload it into the Project and check out how you see those same high Windows in a normal Plan View WITHOUT a Plan Region.  Cool, huh?

Something must have got lost in translation here, because I'm having a hard time understanding what you are saying.  Sounds like you still having issues though.

You said in this post that it works, but you cannot see any 3D sweep or extrusion components.   I explained why that is and how to correct it.  Go into the family, select the 3D geometry and check Visibility Settings.  Put a tickmark the Plan/RCP checkbox of the elements  you want to make visible in Project Plan View,  Close and re-load family.

Your Welcome. Do you think I earned a Solution Credit?  I could certainly use one .  Baby needs a new pair of shoes.
