Hi All,
I would like to find out if anybody has found that Revit Projects are running slow on Windows 10 OS.
Having a problem where I'm opening up a file on a Windows 7 PC and the file is working fine (slowness due to file size) with a full building with all links in 3D view. When I open the same file on a Windows 10 PC the file is super laggy when I only have some links loaded and a section box around 1 floor level.
The specs of the PC's is the same, the major difference is that the Win 10 PC has more recent hardware - i7-7700
Windows 7 PC
Windows 10 PC
All the systems are running on the same version number (RVT 2018.2) which in essence shouldn't make a difference between Revit on differente PC's.
Hi @MachielAEC
Revit 2018.3.1* is the latest update. Make sure your team is on the same build.

So I've reqeusted that they update to the latest build. As mentioned previously, I do believe that updating to 2018.3.1 will be the solution as all the Revit builds in the office is on 2018.2 - no difference between builds.
What was interesting was that if you open Revit in Win7 Compatibility mode it runs better, not the same as the Win 7 PC's.
Let me know how it goes!
Interesting to note the difference between the windows platforms.

Hello!
I just wanted to share my solution to this problem. I´ve disabled the "defendpoint" on my computer. This solved my problems, I hope it solves others with similar issues!
