Revit 2017 Mouse Cursor in Text Box Issue

I've noticed since the 2017 upgrade that my mouse cursor has to be within the text box in order to type.  If the cursor slides out of the text box, it stops typing even if I haven't clicked out of the text box.  Is there a setting to change this?

Text boxed in properties palette losing focus has been there for way too long that I am almost getting used to it. But I actually did not get the same problem with regular text editing in Revit 2017. Another proof of this version's inconsistency and quirkiness.

We are living in V.2025, 8 years later, and this issue still persists! I see no advantage whatsoever to make the textboxes useless if the cursor moves slightly. Please fix!
On the other hand, I kind of feel the same as @ToanDN with the properties palette, it saves me the "enter" prompt, so I kinda got used to it... but the text box thing has no logic.
