REVIT 2017: Create a shell model or make rooms visible in the 3D model and expor

Hello,
I would like to create a shell model in REVIT 2017 and export this model as IFC.

1st attempt: create a mass with "project family"
Problem: The body is partially visible in the 3D model and is not displayed in the IFC file.

2nd attempt: create rooms with "room separation lines"
Problem: Rooms are not visible in the 3D model, but are displayed in the IFC file.

In general, how can you create a shell model (raster, levels, masses/rooms)? The shell model should be visible in the levels, views, sections and in the 3D model and exported as an IFC.

Thank you for your support!

Kind regards,
Petra Baumann

When creating 3d rooms, you can regenerate them as "Direct Shapes" in Dynamo, color code them, and create stack diagrams, etc. Marcello Sgambelluri has a great presentation on this. https://www.autodesk.com/autodesk-university/class/More-Practical-Dynamo-Practical-Uses-Dynamo-Withi...
