Revit 2017 changing text size/cutting off text when printing to pdf in rdp

Hi,

Having an issue with Revit 2017 changing text size/cutting off text after printing to pdf through Microsoft remote desktop. In remote desktop the printers are not being shared through the system so it's using the pdf printer on the desktop in the office.

This works fine when he's physically at the desktop in the office.

Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous

Looks like this is caused by the Remote Desktop host software, ( a bug in Windows using Remote Desktop to access Revit). The Microsoft hotfix for this issue is herePlease see Microsoft Knowledge Base for a solution; KB2768741.

Let me know if that helps resolve your issue.

Hi @Anonymous

Can you share a file to test so we can reproduce the error? I can send you a private folder to upload.

Also, I had a few questions for you:

1) Which version of the Remote desktop are you using?

2) What windows version is your office PC and remote PC - have you upgraded to the latest version for that particular OS?

3) Are you using multiple monitors? Is so what is their resolution?

4) Did you run recent upgrade to your windows OS

5) Which PDf printer do you use?

Additionally,

I would suggest checking the Desktop App to see if there are any Revit updates available. For information on using the Desktop App see the following article: About the Autodesk Desktop App

Note: If you are not able to download updates through the Desktop App, the following article has information on downloading updates through the Autodesk Accounts page:

Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements

Looking forward to your reply update.
