Revit 2016 - Phasing and Visibility Issue

Hello,

I work for an architectural company in London. This is my first time using Revit 2016 but I have been working with the programme for over 4 years now. This is also the first project that I have used phasing for.

I have recently discovered an issue that I have never come across before and my BIM Coordinator cannot figure out the issue.

In my view templates I have certain object switched on and off and certain objects filtered out. For some unknown reason things keep reappearing even though they are switch off. It happens with tags, section tags, stairs, you name it. If I go back into the view template and shuffle the filters around or toggle on / off again it will disappear. But shortly later it reappears, usually when I urgently need to get some drawings out.

Please does anyone have any idea what is going on? Is this a 2016 bug? or a phasing issue?

Hi Ellie,

We have had recently the same issue at the practice.

Basically, from time to time we needed to reapply templates for the VG to work...

We sorted it out by managing to limit the amount of VG layering (VG override + phse filter + filter + manual overrides...)

I know it is not an easy solution, but probably the best one as it would only become les and less stable as you add VG peroperties (as one does along the way)

Cheers,

François
