I am using Revit 2016. The company I work for started an apartment building. One of my coworkers set the project up so I am unsure of how it was set up but we came across an issue we can't seem to figure out how to fix.
We have 2 of us trying to work on this project and Revit is always locking one of us out of everything (so only 1 user can work in the model at a time) I checked out the worksets to see if it was something going on there and noticed that everything under the "Project Standards" is missing except for "Project Standards" (I assume this is why one of us keeps getting locked out.)
I tried creating 2 new worksets, one for the parking level (that my coworker is working on) and one for the upper floors (which is what I am working on) But when I go to a plan and select an object I want to add to a workset, I go to my properties, select the workset drop down, and none of the new worksets I created are here.
I am not even sure where to begin to fix this issue. It is pretty important that we are able to have more than 1 person working in this model at a time. Any ideas or suggestions? I have attached an image as well.
Thanks in advance!

Looks like the file is corrupted. You should have at least one workset, "Workset1", which cannot be deleted but renamed. Try re-creating the central. Open as "Detach from central", preserving worksets, then Save as... saving again as a central model. Close it. Create a new local. Go to to the worksets dialog to see if things are back to normal. If that doesn't work, you will something more aggressive, detaching and removing all worksets, and enabling worksets again, etc...
I tried first detaching from central, then recreating the central model, which did not work. Then I detached from central and removed the worksets, recreated the central model and all my worksets are back to normal! But now my coworker has opened the project and it is working great, then I opened it and everything is blank. It looks like a new project that has no information it in except for the annotation elements.
Any thoughts on this?
When something like this happens and I can't seem to understand why, I detach from central, get rid of all the workset, audit and start from scratch. You would have to recreate worksets from the beginning and assign everything all over but it might be the only way.
