We are having multiple reported issues of performance when users have checked out a revit license and have saved a detached file locally. The model quickly becomes unuseable with the spinning wheel of death. We did not have the issue with Revit 2014.
The same models running on the network are fine either opening a central, local or through RDP over VPN.
We are running Dell M6600 laptops with 16GB ram on Windows 7.
