when I am in a building section and double click on a level, it goes back to an existing floor plan and not the new construction plan.  is there a way to reset/change so that it points to the correct plan?

Change the Phase of the Section.

...easy one. Bet I get a lil' green check mark for that one. Smiley Wink

..or: Duplicate the Section and Change the Phase of the Duplicate.

I didn't say "Phase Filter", I said "Phase".

I have found going to a floor plan view by click on a level in a elev/section view is quite unpredictable.  It depends on which view you placed the section, phase of the views, is the phase changed after you placed the section, is the plan view created from a scratch or a copy of some other view, or any combination of the above.

If your project view structure is simple, like a template then I guess it will work fine.  But when things get complicated (for example we have several view of the same level, same phase such as Arch Plan, Code Plan, Finish Plan, FFE Plan, Signage Plan, Coord Plan, etc...) then it can go anywhere.

In the end, I think it is not worth to spend time on it and open the view I want to open from the browser.

I don't have the same issue.   If I double-click on the associated level, I go to the same Phase in the Floor Plan.
