Repeatly bringing in the same component

Good morning

I'm fairly new to Revit so I'm hoping this is an easy fix. What I'm doing is Placing a component. So I'm loading the family and picking the item I want loading. The problem is that it keeps loading a previous item I loaded and not the one I'm currently choosing.

I'm working in metric however if I choose items in the Imperial folder, this doesn't occur! It works as it should!

Has anyone heard of this before?

cheers

Revit remembers the last placed component so you need to drag the new one on the view from the family browser.

When you click Component, Revit shows you a component at the top of the Properties palette. Click on the drop down next to it. It will show you all the component families that have been loaded.
