Floor Assembly_ Slab + Earth..... Carve around footings?

Is there a way to make this work?

Idea is to have Exterior and Interior slabs showing compacted fill and such but don't think I can make this make sense unless I can somehow get the fill to carve around footings and any wall type below. Also can forsee issues with there being a space below the footing that will not have a pattern (thickness of wall) and need to manipulate the extents of the pattern.

So, right now don't think this is a viable option but wondering if someone might have a similar approach and could offer some suggestions on how to at least make having the two+ layers of the assembly created automatically when the slab is placed.

I like the idea/ the possiblity of having this all drawn at one fell swoop and show up in all the elevations and sections..... Rather than sketching in filled regions in all the various views.

Thanks for any insight.

After experimenting with this some it looks like for both toposolids and floor assemblies you can join the walls and/or footings to them and get the desired results (mostly), but there are still going to be some issues with the extents of the "earth/ fill" portion of the slab and toposolid assemblies.

So, now it has me wondering if a workable approach might be to model a building pad that is a topo solid at, say, -4", that is just earth for the entire site at zero elevation. And start a project this way.

Then create the walls and then floor slab with gravel assemblies for the individual areas of the building between walls with footing. These walls and the footings and the floor slab/ gravel assembly can then be joined to the toposolid/ building pad.

When the site impervious surfaces and walks are defined, they can then be modeled at zero elevation as a slab only toposolid or floor assembly and aligned off of the exterior face of the building and merged with the topo solid as well.

I'm thinking this will accomplish on a lot of levels what I'm after but sure would like to have someone throw holes in this hole idea.

Some questions would be:

For slabs and surfaces at the exterior of the building footprint, what would be the benefit/ downside of using topo solids for the earth areas and/ or the slab areas? Not fully up to speed on the the abilities of the topo solids etc but guessing there is a good reason for using them. Assuming more flexibility downstream for manipulating the surfaces. For now going to assume I shoud use toposolids for both earth/ fill and slabs at exterior.
