Rendering in VRay with a background image in Revit

I have inserted a background image in Revit for a rendering and am using VRay to render the image. When I render, the background image is not showing up. 

I inserted the background image from the Graphic Display option in the properties dialog in the 3D view that I want to render.

Is there something else that I need to do to make the image show up in my rendering?

… it is because V-ray doesn’t work like that

… as I’ve been saying try to stick with the REVIT engine

… or try ENSCAPE … the results are better and way faster

… V-ray will not be reading your REVIT background image

... or any material that is not from REVIT itself

… doesn’t work like that … at least up to now …

… if you want to get your own image as a background

… you will need to load it as a decal

… decal outside as a background

… how to place a decal in a view

… or you can try as a material (but this option is way too much complicated)

… the assets editor material is kind of complicated

… V-ray for REVIT is still in development

… and will keep that way for a long time

… my advice: stay with REVIT engine or ENSCAPE
