Rendered views are different

The object is yellow and black. After rendering, the object is white and pink. Did i do something wrong in the rendering? Is it too much sun exposure that is making my objects a different color?? Help.

There could be too many things which might result in something like this. So with any further information (e.g. what have you done, screenshots, rendersettings) it will be a wild guess.

It could be that in your shaded view the material has different colors than in your render view (meterial settings). It could be reflections from other objects. It could be (colored lights). It could be exposure settings. It could be...... 

If possible give more information on what you have done and what you have tried to reolve the issue.

Ok I think this is the difference between shaded views and rendered views. You probably wil have to look at your materials.

Look at screenshot below:

Both windows show the same wall, with the same material.

The left is the realistic view (see the red box) which is closer to a rendered result. It is mostly defined by the settings on the Appearance tab of the material browser.

The right is a shaded view (see other red box). Its appearance ís determined by the Graphics tab on the material browser.

So check your materials if this is what is happening to your model.

Oh, I see... Thanks! Im changing the materials, but some materials wont allow color customization? I made the material yellow color but its still grey... Is there something i have to change besides the color?

I only changed the color in the graphics tab, and not in the appearance. After changing the appearance color, my realistic view is what i hoped for. 

However, i've stumbled upon another problem. I have changed the materials and colors for my family and the realistic view is fine. However, when I transfer these objects into my project, it isnt the same. Some of the colours are jumbled up? Any reason why? Refer to attatchments.

Ok. It is probably a matter of precedence. When you create/change a material in the family editor and it load it into the project. Than the project takes precedence. This means that the material, with the same name, inside the project will override the materials from the family.

So if the material is already present in the project, changes you make in the family editor will not update the material within the project.
