Render Appearance Images all suddenly disappeared

I'm new to rendering in rhino and I'm trying to render my model. I was familiarizing myself with the setup when I started experiencing issues. The first rendering I did worked just fine. All the materials and colors showed up and I didn't receive any errors or warnings. Then I tried rendering a different view and I got the error message "the following render appearance images are missing:" (every single material that has a render appearance image is then listed) I closed and reopened Revit but that didn't do anything. Then I opened the material settings and found that all of the render appearance images actually are missing throughout the whole material library. I could still view and select materials, but all of their images were suddenly gone. I uninstalled and reinstalled the material library, repaired my install of Revit, and still had the exact same error message and the materials editor was acting the exact same way. What else can I do to solve this problem?render settings I usedrender settings I usedCapture1.PNGwarningwarningview before renderingview before renderingview after renderingview after rendering

Have you been poking through Options lately? Maybe you mis-poked.

I didn't change a single thing. This happened in a matter of seconds. Made
one successful render, clicked "show the model" rotated my view, and then
tried to render that view and suddenly everything was messed up.

...so the solution I provided didn't work?

Can you tell us your workflow?

No offense but you didn't really provide a solution at all. What more can I
elaborate on that would help you further diagnose this?

Really? Did you read the link I provided?

...perhaps one thing you could do to elaborate, is to let us know if the solutions we're providing to you are effective. Otherwise, we could be here forever guessing.  Just saying. No offense.

Check the path under "R" icon in upper left hand of screen>Options>Rendering>Additional Render Appearance Paths

See if your PC has lost connection to the path listed here. This would cause the problem you experienced.

I'm almost positive this is the only possible explanation for what happened. My question now is, how do I locate the material library files to redirect the path where it should be? I have the option to add a new path (there currently are none on the list) but I have no clue how to navigate into the less user-friendly depths of the file explorer where the correct path inevitably exists somewhere.
