Renaming work/reference planes?

Is it possible to rename user created work/reference planes?  If so, I have yet to find where to do that.

What Version are you on? "Name" is a Parameter. You don't have one?

Just select the Ref Plane and you will see "<Click to Name>" at both ends of it.

Just to add, in case you didn't know. Since Revit 2017 you can create different subcategories of reference planes, making it easier to distinguish them.

In my case, no such luck.  I could only name the planes upon creation.

I managed to get my <Not Associated> plane to show up in the 3D view and Workplane Viewer; but all I can do is modify its visible size and grid spacing.  In the attached photo of the Workplane Viewer is a skewed plane.  I have no idea where that one came from or if it's a ghost object of some sort.

I had to create a junk plane in order to see those features; but even if I entered a name, it went back <None>.

I'm wondering if my model is corrupt in some form from my hacking at it.

I used the 'Pick a plane' option with the top of the sloped beam as my reference since that's where I was going to model the purlins.  It just labeled it as <Not Associated>.

I'm a tiny bit confused. Are you asking if you can rename existing Work Planes, or create new named Work Plane through the Work Plane dialog box? No, you cannot.  To rename a existing Work Plane or create a new named Work Plane, you must edit the name of Reference Plane lines that the named Work Plane is referencing, or create a new named Reference Plane line.

I have come to the same conclusion thanks to the interest of everyone that has replied.  I'm just used to the freedom of creating, modifying and renaming user defined planes in Inventor.  Since my model is a test model to see if I can fumble my way through Revit in a manner that can help a friend out; it appears that I'm not proficient enough to be of productive use to him.
