Reg : Revit family not loading

Dear all

Am entirely new to revit, and whenever i try to load an air terminal from the family following dialogue box pops up and am not able to proceed further.

Any timely help would be much appreciated..

Hi there.

The families are organized at Categories on Revit. This message appears when you try to load a familiy which doesn't belongs to the actual category. For example, if you're on the tool Door and try to load a Window, this message shows up.

My tip for you is to exit the tool by clicking at the Modify tool (up-left corner) or click at the ESC button on keyboard. To load this family, go to the ribbon Insert > Load family. This should help.

Even i have tried the other way around....but of no use....could you suggest me anything better???

Try clicking on the Systems tab and then air terminal, then select load family from the mode panel on the modify tab. In some cases Revit will only let you load families using the tool you need to place them.
