Realistic mode without lightning influence

Is it possible to totally remove the influence of solar lighting in realistic mode? I would like to visualize the textures faithfully.. the illumination override with white in some clear textures...

Thanks.

Interesting question. What so you mean by "visualize the textures faithfully".

This is heavy. If you remove the influence of solar lighting, it there any texture to see?

...reminds me of the quote: “If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”

Hum... I am thinking about it.

Maybe.. I dont want the realist mode, but just, see the textures in view...

Just like SketchUp.

Where's the "texture" coming from?  From the photorealistic image that the material is using; the one shown under the Appearance tab of the Material?   If so, then you need to be in Realistic Mode to see it  --- or a Rendered View.
