I made a model in Revit. When I render it, the glass are all black. glasses look transparent in modeling, but become black after rendering. I've checked all setting related to glass material. But I couldn't figured it out :(((

Not much to go on. Maybe you could upload (a part of) your project or at least some screenshots (e.g. render, views that you tired to render, settings for your material) so that we get better information on what might be the issue.

Are you aware that materials have different settings for shaded views (i.e graphics tab) and for realistic/rendered views (appearance tab)?

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Replace the glass rendering asset with a different glass material.  The OOTB one has issues.

... hi @Anonymous

... as @L.Maas  said upload something with the material (window, door, etc)

... you can really have all reflections and refractions with a glass material

... maybe you are not applying the right material in the right way ...

Check your window families and make sure the opening is set to be transparent in 3D and or Elevation.

Could also be you only rendered the exterior only and didn't add Sun and artificial.

No image selected.  See if the Mat folder exists. Click on the image and browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\2\Mats.

Never mind, I thought you said "Grass".  Here's my Appearance Settings for the OOTB Glass Block.

I checked it. I have only folder 1, Environments and UPI2016Base folders exist in my Textures folder. What should I do then?

Where did you get that Glass asset from?  The ones from the appearance asset library do not have so many settings.

Doesn't sound like your Autodesk Library got installed correctly.  I'd suggest doing a reinstall.

...What version of Windows are you on?  Back up to "Materials" folder and tell me if you see a "Textures" Folder.

It was a kind of glazing which I duplicated and then revised the settings. I tried simple glass, but still the result was black!

I tried both assets, one under Glass and another under Glazing, neither have such settings.  Revit 2019.

Sorry....Glazing-->Blue

Yeah, they are all different and confusing. Some had the extra settings some didn't.  I'm using 2019.2

Glazing??? Not Glass Block like you showed in your screenshot?

Can you post a screenshot of the actual Material  your Glazing is using?  The Appearance Tab Settings is what I want to see.

You can also post your file for us to inspect.
