RCP Gray Detail lines

Why are my detail lines showing as grayed in my reflected ceiling plan? Not halftoned. Check object style setting for line patterns. Thanks

You should post the file, or a small piece of the file, so we can see what's going on. Based on what you asked, could be any one of dozens of things going on.

I've purged everything and the file is too large to post.  Can you offer any suggestions without seeing it.

Yes: it's almost impossible to purge a revit file once its gotten big.

Open a new revit file, select template NONE. Then paste a few of the ceilings and linework, and save. It'll be quite small, and you can post it.

On the other hand, you might learn that the behavior you don't like doesn't replicate once you paste it out into a clean new file. So that will tell you something right there.

Thanks. I pasted some of the questionable elements to a new file and they look fine. In the other file in question, the entire floor plan is halftoned as well as the detail lines. It's okay for the floor plan to automatically be half toned. In the new file where the items were pasted to....the floor plan is not half toned and is normal lineweights.

The problem seems to fixed now.  At some point in the past I was messing around with some settings and overrides which most likely caused the problem.  I applied the default ceiling view template and it looks fine now.  Thanks again.

It seems like it was just to play with the view settings. Try going to the visibilitity graphics and change the settings.

Good Luck,

Fernanda
