"Wall Dormer" type dormer

Having a bit of an issue with how to model a wall dormer. By this I mean the dormer window type as shown in the image. I need an explanation on how to approach this as the method used for doing a standard dormer with roof plane on all sides doesn't appear to work for me.Wall dormer.jpg

Create a roof using ‘Roof by Extrusion’ method.
