"reflected" wall elevation view

Is there any way to show a wall elevation as a reflected image "reversed or mirrored" right to left?  Note that this would be in the assembly editor

I produce precast drawings using wall assemblies for precast shop drawings and when we detail thin brick, we show it from the inside side face so that it appears the way that the workers will see it when looking down at the casting bed.  This is the same idea as a reflected ceiling plan viewed by looking up at the ceiling.  I use "paint" to product some very intricate patterns but it only shows on the outside of the panel.

Any suggestions as to how to "see" the brick from the back face?  Is there a switch to make a view "reflected"

Place the elevations from the inside looking out?

I have tried this but "paint" only shows when looking at the side that was painted.  The back side just shows plain old boring gray concrete. 

I have attached a screen show showing the outside face with brick and the inside face which does not show the paint.  It shows the outlines where they paint should go because I use grout-lines cut into the face with a void family to make the different regions.

All of this is done in the "assemblies editor but I could use some other type of views if they can be seen from the back side or reflected.

You could place a mirrored version of it in seperate phase... similar to doing some legend components workaround...

That is what I have been doing but then the brick is not real and live in the project.  If for whatever reason, i need to modify one of the panels, i need to go to its "doppelganger" and modify it was well or the  change will not show up in the final drawings.

Group the walls and place an instance of the group in another phase or design option. Then mirror it.

That is the best option I have heard and it should work.  I will not be as easy as getting a true reflected view and it will not be attached to the same assembly but at least it will be consistent with the main model.  I will give it a shot.

Ow, you need it to reflects changes? Ofcourse group (or link) it as mirrored version, not the initial question though... although perhaps it should be a given.

Alternatively export to dwg and link it back in as mirrored version, override the export when you make changes. You could also do the same linking in a mirrored version of the (entire) project, also in seperate phase/DO. But then you also always need to make sure to update/reload latest, groups will update within the project itself so that's better probably.

Lastly you could try making your assembly into a group and saving it to .rfa as family... not always workable though.

Scratch last part, just works for an in-place wall but not much use here.

This is another of those cases where Revit has the capability of doing something (reflected image, as in reflected ceiling plan) but cannot imagine how anyone would ever need this functionality in a different setting so they lock it out.

I suppose so, but you have to appreciate the, often numerous, workarounds though to different things that are not supported. Not that easy to account for everything probably.
