"Phase Filter" is grayed, how to un-gray it?

Revit 2024: In the Properties Dialog, under the Phasing subheading, the Phasing line is working with New Construction and Existing, and can be changed, but the line above which is the one with "Phase Filters", are grayed on all the plans and cannot be changed.  How to un- gray it?

you probably have a view template applied to the view. turn off the view template or adjust it to have the proper phase. you can also uncheck phase filter within the view template if you want to vary different views by phase filter but continue to use the same view template.
