"Can be shared by multiple... and appear in schedules and tags"?

Man...!  This area of Revit... Parameters; Shared, Project, Global, Instance, Type, Visibility and Formula Parameters is one of the most frustrating parts of Revit for me.

I learned that if you want to schedule and tag using parameters then it must be a Shared Parameter... really?

 From the help docs... "Note: You cannot use shared parameters in a key schedule."

Is it really not possible to use Shared Parameters in a Key Schedule? 

It kind of appears that as they developed Revit functionality over the years, the area of Parameters was not designed as well as what it could have been.

Yes, this has been a recurring theme, wish, request for many years. Why the barrier exists has never been explained to me satisfactorily yet, in a way I understand at least. If my memory is correct, schedule keys were designed based on solving/using a specific problem originally - door hardware groups. As more people started using the software the way we want to use it has expanded but it hasn't yet.

Make use of any un-utilized system parameters and they work with both Key Schedules and Tags.
