Question on planting schedules

how to make a planting schedule with
"Information of the planting family must include, Scientific Name, Common Name, Height, Trunk
Diameter, Root Ball"

and 

"Information of the softscape schedule must include, Scientific Name, Common Name, height, flower
color, bloom time, area (in square meters)"

I just went through this. We ended up adding those as custom parameters and then somehow sharing those into the project as shared parameters to make our schedule from.

May i know how to make the custom parameters ?

This is easily accomplished through the addition of Shared Parameters to your Shared Parameter Text File. Once created, you can then assign these Shared Parameter to all you plant Families  -- so that they all reporting on the same Shared Parameter.  First thing though, is to develop all the Shared Parameters first.  Once developed,  just start pulling them from the Shared Parameter Text File into each family that uses them.
