Purge?

Hey guys,

I had a question I thought someone else on here might know the answer to since I'm still new to Revit. If I load a family in or copy one within Revit and then end up not needing it so I'd like to get rid of it, is there a way to do that? I wasn't sure if it would be the purge option, if so, what exactly do you do to purge a specific family from your model?

Thanks!

Manage>>Purge Unused

You will be taken to a dialog box. Click Uncheck All and then you can purge items selectively.

Plan B - Scroll to the bottom of your Project Browser to Families. You will be able to see all the Families that exist in your Project. Right click and Delete.

Another nice thing that you can do - right click and Edit - that will allow you to make changes (if needed) and then reload the modified family into your project.
