Proposed Diagonal Wall Will Not Join to Existing Walls

Hi,

I've got a Revit model where I am unable to connect a new diagonal wall to a wall set in the 'existing' phase. This wall is also unable to connect to the roof above it when I click the 'Attach to top' command, returning an error message stating that the wall and roof cannot be joined.

I've attached a couple of screenshots showing how the wall won't connect in plan view properly, as well as a 3D view of the area I'm having this problem with. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

It is always tricky when the intersection have existing, demolished, and new walls.  Have you tried all the possible Wall Join conditions?  IF all else fail, use Join Geometry to join them manually.  As for attaching to the roof, is the roof drawn by pick walls + overhang?

... that wall was modeled with in-place extrusion?

... or is just a regular wall?

... can you attach just the walls to take a look ?

Honestly, it's a a very common condition for us. I'm not seeing anything particularly strange about it. What to attach your file?

I've had a play around with the different join wall conditions, and the only solution is to use the 'join geometry' tool.

However, still having problems with connecting it to the roof, which has been drawn in by footprint, and then picking lines of the proposed walls with an offset of 50mm. I'm able to alter the height of the wall so it appears okay in elevation and 3D views, just struggling to understand why Revit has as an issue with attaching it properly.

Both the existing and proposed walls are regular walls with 25mm render, 100mm blockwork and 175mm of concept material.
