Not sure if this is the correct forum. My question is, how can I select (using selection tool) an imported RCS point cloud model in Revit 2018 to rotate it ? I have no problem inserting the 2gig file by Auto Shared Coordinate. There is no manual option to import. So I am guessing there is no way I can select imported file to rotate.
The file in point cloud is a scan of our current building under construction. We scanned it so we could check for wall plumb on all our elevations and make adjustments to our furring channels as needed starting with the the most outside point of our scanned wall. If I can rotate the scanned model, then I can align the scan best per elevation separately.
Thank you, Below are two outside North wall building corners.

OK I have my tail between my legs, The solution to my problem was to just check the box in the selection tool drop down menu, to "select linked files".
Use drop down menu from selection tool
The shortcut icons to that selection menu is on the bottom right of your screen.

I was able to zoom far enough out (1200 miles). Find my point cloud, selected it and my survey point, and moved both at the same time via dragging towards the project base point (for me the project base point was set at the internal origin point, revit's 0,0,0). After that I realized the survey point was so far away as to be likely a useless reference for any real positioning data in X, Y. So now, I'm keeping the point cloud at the same 'Z' for elevational data, and a surveyor will need to field confirm the X and Y. Oh well. also, side affect - imprecise placement / moving of the cloud:
mine jumps by about 8" when I tried to move it.
