Project wont align to wall during rotate project north command

I have a new mystery happening on a small ADU project. The owner had a survey done after I had already drawn her property lines and Existing garage based off of a parcel map and rough measurements. I brought in the new survey which did align perfectly with how my true North was set up and pinned it down. However I then wanted to rotate the existing building very slightly to align with where the building is based off of this new survey. So I Selected all model elements and rotated it and everything rotated fine. But the problem is that all my views sit about a degree or two off from orthogonal. So I tried to do the rotate project north and align to that left wall but instead of it working it just says that Revit successfully processed all the elements but then doesn't actually rotate. I tried rotating project north 90° and then back. I've tried deleting all the scope boxes. This one is really stumping me. Another weird thing is that my walls and everything have disappeared from my new floor plan. But when I hover over the walls can tell they are still there and I can select them.

Has anyone encountered anything like this before?

You shouldn't need to rotate model elements. Steps:

- link survey CAD in a uncropped view, view set to project north.

- align the survey with the building you have already modeled.

- select the survey CAD and acquire coordinates.

If you already rotated model elements and want to realign views so the model is upright, you would need to create scope box, rotate it to align with the model, and assign it to your views. Still, it is duct tape solution, not recommended. I would redo it properly follow the steps above

Do you have a Backup from before the mess? If so, my strong suggestion would be to open it and start over again.  This time, forget about True North.  Just insert the owner's Survey into a Project North View and rotate it into place, just like you would any element.  You don't rotate the house to change the position of a chair; do you?  Keep your model orthogonal in the View with Project North at 12 o'clock high.

...later on down the road, you can address True North, Sharing Coordinates, Location and whatnot - if necessary.  It ain't critical to the job at hand presently.

Sorry I couldn't accept both as a solution. I did end up starting over. In hindsight all my problems began when I grabbed all elements and rotated them.

HA! Why couldn't you accept both?  Are you in danger if you do?

Oh I didn't realize a post could have 2 solutions.
