Revit Eye Elevation value in 3d Orthographic View extreme and building disappears need to use scope box.

Hi,

We are getting in metric "mm" Revit Architecture 2021 3d ortho view large eye elevations when generating a 3d view from scratch. We are resorting to using scope boxes to get our 3d views working, here are the values.

Projection mode: orthographic

eye elevation: 1996769124.1

target elevation:21525.0

camera position : adjusting

If I try the same in our project template the  eye elevation is closer to a target elevation.

If I change these values to another view that I can see with the crops off,  the 3d view doesn't show any elements.

If I apply a scope box, the view is corrected.

We have the jumpy-jumpy and wire-framey view appearance and navigation I normally can associate with cad files with cad elements greater than 32km from the UCS

what I have tried so far...

We recently had 3 cad files with limits very far from the UCS, these have been fixed in our architectural model.

We had some very distant as in 100+km project base points in Revit links we inherited from another architecture and engineer consultants firms models, their levels were also not whole numbers and prevented stable room bounding from links, these have not been fixed due to the fear that engineers spaces may be corrupted.

Project base points were moved back to origin 0,0,0 in the architects and consultants models as they were causing blue wheels of death or at least blue-wheels-of-wait.

What you experience is normal when model extends too far from the internal origin (by CAD imports or otherwise).  Unload the cad will fix it graphic glitches.

Might be easier for us to help you troubleshoot if you can post your file.  No need to post the Link Projects, but leave them loaded. Just post the Architectural RVT.   That's the one with the problems; right?

One last thing: have you installed the latest and greatest update?  2021 initial release had 3D graphic issues similar to what you are describing.

Revit build is 2021.1.6

purged and compacted rvt file size is 500mb

are you affiliated with the Autodesk support network?

can I upload to autodesk?

The 500mb is a stripped of all links and Cads etc. The 3d view creation issue still exists and further to that problem generating the multitude of views we need for room layouts and joinery as axonometrics is going to be a problem.
