we have a model with project north set in a particular direction and which we have given coordinates to - so that it knows where it is in the world. we have issued the model with shared co-ordinates to the consultants and one of them wishes to make their project north different to ours.
what are the implications for us? if any?
my impression is that as long as we are using shared coordinates any imported model can have whatever project north they prefer - and vice-versa..... is this true?
what would be the implications if we were to rotate our project north to agree? we already have many many dwgs set up currently with 'our' project north

Project North does not have any relation with coordinates. Having different Project North orientation is not going to affect the location of the models. There is something not clear in your question. How did you give coordinates to Project North?
sorry for confusion..... we gave coordinates to the building along with true north in order that we could share coordinates with consultant models. tks for your response
@Alfredo_Medina Thanks for clarifying!

There will be no implications. The only difference is the view orientation between your drawings and theirs, if the views are set to Project North.
