Project Information of RVT Link

Hello

I have one link in a host file. When I select the link instance it shows me in the Properties Browser a property with name "Project Information" under "Identity Data" Group. I tried to click the "View..." button next to it but nothing happened.

Does anyone know what should have displayed?

the project information dialog should have displayed:

Your file does not display any information because the project information fields are not filled in.

You can access the project information in the manage tab:

No, I think this is a bug.

The Project Information is populated, though clicking the "View.." button shows nothing. (Not even a message that there is no Project Information)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Let it work like a charm.

"Edit" should activate Parent Project Information. Check to see if there is a setting in your Revit INI File that controls default behavior.

I can confirm this behavior in 2024.

Seems to work okay here on 2024, so it's not systemic.

I think you need more information in order to say that.

I tested with a cloud project. Not able to test with a network project, I don't have any at the moment.

I definitely can say it's "not systemic".   I showed a screenshot proving it.

I'm not going to argue with you about semantics.

Local.
I have several linked models, and they all display project information. However, I tried inserting a new link, and it does not show the project information. I initially thought this was because there was no information in the fields, but even after filling in the fields and reloading the link, it still does not display

I think I see the issue. Was that Link created via a Group in a Project?

@barthbradley yes, in my case it was created from a group, but at the end of the day it is a link, and it should behave normally like any other.

@vitorbortoncello was it same in your case?

I agreed with you.  Link it into another Project and the Project Information Parameter will work.

Since it's easily replicable, open a support ticket on this "BUG!" through your autodesk.manage.com portal. Let us know what they tell you, if you would please.  Thanking you in advance.
