Sorry for the long post, I’m having a huge, huge problem with Revit 2023. I just upgraded and I’ve started a new project in the 2023.
I'm having problems with the windows and doors. It started from the get go. I was able to put in a couple doors just fine. But I went to change the type, the drop down in wouldn’t drop dawn. I push escape, nothing
. It doesn’t work. I can only get out with the modify arrow in the left corner. I click on an existing door, can’t change it. I rebooted, I could put in a door, again I can put in one, nothing. And the escape key doesn’t work. It’s not my computers escape key, it works in ever other program.
I try the windows, same thing. Every other component and walls I can change types just fine. I could change the windows types in edit type. Then the sill and head heights stopped working, it was just a number not inches and feet. I had to align my windows to a reference point.
I met with an Autodesk support by person. She saw the problem and had me reboot, of course it works. It was the first thing in the morning, I hadn’t opened Revit yet that day. She suggest if I had problems again to uninstall and reinstall. I do this, still not working.
Once in a while I’ll get a get lucky and it will work for a window, but it doesn’t stay.
my supervisor is having the same problems, so I know it’s just not a me thing. He has the full version of Revit, I have LT, so it’s not an LT issue. It seems to get worse the longer you’re working on it. It has to be a Revit 2023 product problem.
I am beyond frustrated. I spent the entire day using the work around when it should have taken an hour or so.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Has anyone found a solution? I can’t keep working this way. If it really want to copy the model back into Revit 2022, I’ve done too much other work in the project with the views that didn’t require seeing the openings.
I can’t keep working this way.
