Problems from Server Upgrade

So,  Our IT guys just ugraded our server and coppied all of our files over to the new server.  Folks opening Rivit files in Revit 2015 or 2016 are having no problem.  Folks opening Revit 2014 files are getting the warning about the Central file being moved..  We really don't want to resave every file that we have in 2014.  Is there something that we can do?

Thanks

Hello @Anonymous, unfortunately 2014 is not as flexible as the newer versions.

You will most likely have to resave/re-establish the central files.

I am sure not what you want to hear...

Indeed; in 2014 and earlier versions you have no other route but to re-establish the central file and have all the users pull a new local. Hopefully all team members did save their work to the central model before it was moved…Unfortunately it’s not just about opening the central in its new location and selecting “Make this a Central Model after save”…if you have links in the file that have also changed location, you might need to open each model and use reload from in order to point to their new location.

PS: Have each team member archive their old local file and its backup folder before pulling a new local file.
