Problem with worksets and local files

Hi, my group partner and I had a project together a year ago using a central file, and both worked on separate local files. My computer broke down recently and I lost all my data. My partner gave me her local file, but I can only view it. How can I use this file and save as something else. The project is over and we do not need the work sharing anymore. Can I save the file and get it out of the locked shared mode? Thanks!!

@Anonymous hello, you can try this open the file that you received from your partner > tick detach from central > discard workset > saveas in a new file name and this file become an individual file and no connection with your central file. thanks

hello dear, 

open the file >> options >> User name (type your friend's User name) save as your file. (if the case is saving) 

Open revit >> from open option >> select your file then tick the Detach from central Option >>> click open 

then save your file.
