Problem with Stairs in Revit

I have been away from revit for the longest time and I'm having trouble with stairs in revit 2019.

I can't make them to work properly. At first i thought it was a bug and made a new file.

The stair that I'm trying to make doesn't go up to the second floor and i can't figure out why.

Maybe i'm missing something... Can anyone help me with this?

uncheck End with Riser.

...of course, you'll need to adjust the run length afterwards

@Pantaleon02 This appears to be an issue with having the "end with riser" setting for that last run or flight of stairs.

When working with stairs, double check the flights and determine if they want them to stop at the desired height with or without a riser. There is a setting, when the individual flights (runs) are selected to toggle end or start with a riser or not.

This is all dependent upon of how your floor landing and stair connection is going to occur.

Here is a quick video showing the difference of having the "end with riser" setting on or off.

It's not an "issue". The default setting is End with Riser. If you measure the distance from top of last tread to top of floor, it with exactly equal the riser height calculated for the run.

@barthbradley correct, it's not a software issue but an issue with the settings that are selected for what needs to be modeled.

The settings show when you draw a run in the stair.

@barthbradley

Yeah, i understand now. 😅

So, I turn “end with raiser” off but it does nothing. It stays the same.

Did you drag the extents of the Stairs afterwards (eg: make it longer)?

...did you notice where I said "...of course, you'll need to adjust the run length afterwards" in post 2?

Actually at the beggining i didn’t notice you wrote that.

I finally did it. Thanks.  😄

But it’s so strange to do all of this workaround for it to work. Is it always like this?

I notice that it created another riser but in the properties the “desired number of risers” stayed the same number.

You don't have to always modify after placement. Just create and use a stair type that has end with riser unchecked by default.
