Problem opening Allplan IFC in Revit

Good afternoon. I also faced the problem that IFC from Allplan in Revit and Navisworks does not recognize geometry attributes (height, width, area, volume). Have you failed to understand what the problem is?

Hi @PetukhovMV

Can you share your file and other diagnostic data to test further?

Let me know and I'll provide more details and share a private upload folder.

Hi, @Viveka_CD.

Uploaded the test file. The file was created in Allplan. The basic properties of elements (volume, area, perimitre, etc.) are not visible in Revit and Navisworks

Hi @PetukhovMV

I received your journal file and IFC file.

I will also need a few other files to investigate further. Please extract data files using the Collector v1.9b.zip  from this article and upload these files to the private folder as well.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Regards,

Hi @PetukhovMV

I just wanted to follow up here, did you have a chance to look at post 10.

We would need diagnostic data to proceed with this case. Can you post a quick journal and required data to the folder.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi @PetukhovMV

I'm looking at your journal and observed that you are on the first customer ship -  Build: 20180216_1515(x64)
' Branch: RELEASE_2019. Please update to 2019.1

Please see the article on How to tie the Build number with the Revit update

To make sure that the issue you are seeing is not something already fixed in one of the product updates, I would suggest checking the Desktop App to see if there are any Revit updates available. For information on using the Desktop App see the following article: About the Autodesk Desktop App

Note: If you are not able to download updates through the Desktop App, the following article has information on downloading updates through the Autodesk Accounts page:

Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements

Let me know if there is any change after installing the updates.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Meanwhile, we will continue investigating your files!

Regards,

Hi, @Viveka_CD

Thanks for the info. Upgrading to 19.1 did not solve the problem

Hi @PetukhovMV

Can you send us another Revit model with screenshots? Apologies, as the previous file you sent, had some issue with the further testing.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi @PetukhovMV

I did not see your file 2, can you specify the file name and try uploading again to the same shared folder?

Thanks!

Hi @PetukhovMV

Unfortunately, the file you shared does not help the team investigating, this new RVT file is totally different from the IFC's attached...

Can you please tell us a parameter in the 2x3.ifc file that doesn't appear in Revit? It looks OK to me, but as I said the IFC file comes in as Russian and it is hard to be sure.

Again- the parameters listed in your image ( in English, which makes me think this is a different file, but maybe your allplan is in English) seem like calculated ones from that viewing application and not actually part of the IFC file.

Can you please clarify the above.?

Thanks,
